no comment about Hall's double technical that almost ousted her from the Kelly-Scott City game?

While I agree she shouldn't have done what she done, maybe it wouldn't have happened if the refs would have called your little girl for all the pushing and elbows. Good luck to your team!

scottcountymom, you have no friggin' idea what your talking about! Pushing and elbows...? D. Hall was elbowing #33 for SC all night long and telling her "How you like that? I'll bet that hurts your torn rib muscles, don't it?"

And another girl was telling her she was going to "punch her in the ribs and put her out of the game!"

I don't know what you call it, gamesmanship or what, but where I come from it's called playing dirty!

Scott City's girls were told of Hall's injured foot. They could have resorted to kicking her and stepping on her foot and trying to put her out of the contest, but they played the right way, CLEAN!

They also played with a stifling defense that didn't allow the Lady Hawks any room to run their inside game, which is all Kelly had with the absence of the guard that tore her ACL.

If you don't think SC's defense was not effective, just look at the FG % Kelly had!

Way to go Scott City, your peaking at the right time!

While I will agree the refs are way too laid back on calling fouls, there is no need to make these kind of comments. Is it totally impossible for anyone to be happy for another school? Regardless if SC won or not, when it comes down to it, I want to see a Southeast Missouri school in the final four. Come on people, these kids are not getting money for playing. Be happy for whoever wins, because acting like this only upsets the players. GROW UP!! By the way, good luck Scott City on your game Friday. Give it your best! Sorry Kelly, you team was very impressive.

All I can say is WOW!!! I didn't mean to touch a nerve there. lol....I re-read what I wrote, and I didn't think i was being a jerk or anything, I even wished Scott City luck, because I too would love to see a Southeast Missouri team in the Final Four. My sincerest apologies to whomever I may have offended, and once again.....Good Luck Lady Rams!

Congrats to the Lady Rams for a well played game and coming out victorious! I knew you could do it and was waiting for a neutral, fair officiated game between these two teams. Good luck Rams in the final and I hope Charleston the best of luck too IF they can play a clean game of basketball.

Are you trying to say that Kelly couldnt beat Scott City this year without help from the refs? You cant be serious. I thought sccynic's post were stupid but we have a new winner. WOW!!!

Congrats to both Charleston and Scott City for making it to the Championship game!!! That is a Very big accomplishment and both teams should be very proud. I watched the Kelly and Scott city game and I thought both teams played well. I am also a very good fan of all of the hawks athletics and I try to attend most of their games. To those seniors for the lady hawks, you had an amazing basketball season, be proud of your accomplishments and do not hang your heads. Scott city has improved and they played a good game.

I have heard that some of the players on Kelly and Scott City are injured. Best of luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery! And to the Hawks... lets just say its hard to fly with a broken wing!

Scott city, best of luck for the rest of your season!
