The more the merrier; down at the Resource Center

The smell coming from the kitchen here at the Cape Area Family Resource Center on a Thursday is nothing less then delightful. For many years the Center has housed what has been called The Senior Lunch-n-Learn Program. Beginning around 11 am and going until some days after 1 pm the Center opens her doors to a group of area senior ladies who each bring in a covered dish and lots of conversation. The group is searching for new members if anyone would be interested in joining. No requirements, other then being over the age of 55. If you need a ride one of the other members may be able to help depending on your location. Each week we host a different "guest speaker" who briefly offers information on topics of interest to our ladies. Some weeks we attend special conferences or luncheons, outside of the Resource Center. The group is also treated to "fun" outings, some going outside of Cape Girardeau.
