Local band GLASTETTER signs to record label.

Where can I find more info about this band besides myspace? I didn't find anything on Retrospect records website. Do they perform locally? Can they be hired to play at local functions?

GLASTETTER MySpace in the only place to get info on the band at this time.

We've just signed with Retrospect Records on Wednesday May, 21. Retrospect hasn't updated their site since then.

Currently, GLASTETTER doesn't perform locally. We've been on hiatus for almost 20 years doing other side projects. Retrospect's interest in the band has sparked us to get back together again.

There are no shows planned as of yet. Perhaps the "River City Music Festival" this year, a Retrospect Records label mate show in St. Louis.

Things are being planned, nothing is confirmed yet.

I looked at Retrospects website, I don't recognize one band off there, any local band can sign to a record lable, there is so many indie labels out there, I don't see why this is front page news! I guess I got a good laugh out of it though. Thanks for that.

You're not expected to know any bands off Retrospect's Website. The bands they sign are from the 80's & 90's, bands that never got signed back then.

True, a few have, a lot more haven't. Yes, there are a lot of indie labels out there, Retrospect isn't your average indie label either, they're more. Retrospect Records began in 2003 and, as of July 2007, has released over 200 albums - many on cd for the first time ever, becoming the largest Hard Rock and Metal re-issue label on the planet.

It wasn't intended to be! This story wasn't in the newspaper, it's only online. It showed up in the order is was submitted. There have been numerous news and stories on other local bands in the past, ones that did make it in the newspaper. What's wrong with us wanting to share our news. I thought the readers would find it interesting, about a local band getting signed for music they wrote nearly two decades ago. That's what makes this story special.
