Alexis Steinhoff, 3, and her mother, Melissa, of Benton, Mo., delight in their find of a young Leapard Frog held by Missouri Department of Conservation Naturalist, Jeremy Soucy.

Alexis attended the Missouri Snappers program with her brother, Eric, 11, at the Nature Center in Cape Girardeau. The group focuses on discovering tools and techniques used to capture wildlife and tame the swamps of southeast Missouri.
