PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Mary Elizabeth Klipfel, 92, of Portageville died Monday, March 10, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Oct. 24, 1915, at Portageville, daughter of John and Elizabeth Elfrink Eftink. She and Noah Joseph Klipfel were married Jan. 30, 1940, in Portageville. He died Oct. 10, 1950.
Klipfel was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include a son, John Klipfel of Portageville; three daughters, Mary Martha Grojean of Chaffee, Mo., Betty Alexander of Charleston, Tenn., Patsy Glover of Atoka, Tenn.; a sister, Emma Gaines of Oran, Mo.; two brothers, George Eftink of Chaffee, Andrew Eftink of Portageville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The rosary will be recited at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ed Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
