Jarvis Ray Thurman, infant son of Chelci Mae Thurman and Jonathan Ray McCaig, died shortly after birth Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include his parents; maternal grandparents, Donald and Ruby Gwinn of Sedgewickville, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Barbara Meatheny of Cape Girardeau; paternal great-grandmother, Georgia Meatheny of Cape Girardeau; and maternal great-great-grandmother, Irene Piatt of Doniphan, Mo.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cape County Memorial Park.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
