CHARLESTON, Mo. — Bobbie Jean Moore, 68, of Charleston died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Water Valley, Miss., daughter of Maxine Calhoun Ingram and Claude Gaston. She first married Joseph Taylor. She later married Cal Moore in June 1985. He died April 5, 1997.
Moore had been a food service manager with the Board of Education in Chicago. She moved to Charleston in 1991. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation in East Prairie, Mo.
Survivors include four sons, Joseph Bibbs of Chicago, John Taylor of Charleston, Dwayne Presswood and Christopher Moore of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Charlesetta Johnson of Ullin, Ill., Ethel Bibbs stationed in Germany, Gloria Asiedu of Chicago, Lydia Pettis of Cape Girardeau; and her mother of Greenwood, Miss.
Also surviving are four brothers, Robert Ingram of Schlater, Miss., Jack Ingram of Doddsville, Miss., Hardy Ingram of Sidon, Miss., Casey Ingram of Itta Bena, Miss.; a sister, Ruby Harris of Itta Bena; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time today at Williams Funeral Home in Charleston.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Roy LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be in National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.
