She was born May 3, 1927, near Marble Hill in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of Burlen and Maggie Ramsey Barks. She and James "Jim" McClard were married Nov. 28, 1942.
In 1988 they moved to Jackson from Burfordville. He passed away Jan. 8, 1999.
Naomi attended the former Lutesville High School. While living in Burfordville, she was an active member of Burfordville Baptist Church. She was an Avon representative from 1965 to 1980 and became a member of the Avon Elite Club.
She was active in Burfordville Community Club 30 years and was a 4-H club leader. She was active in Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Auxiliary Post 158 in Jackson, served approximately 1,000 hours at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau and volunteered at Saint Francis Medical Center and Jackson Senior Center.
Loving survivors include a son, Michael (Catherine) McClard of Marble Hill, Mo.; two daughters, Gloria (Bill) Jamieson of Burfordville, Beverly (Max) Loper of Saucier, Miss.; a brother, Lowell Barks of Piggott, Ark.
Also four grandchildren, Brian (Ann) Glenn, Debbie Glenn, Michelle (Freddie) Wegner and Matthew McClard; three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Trey Wegner and Maddi Glenn; two great-stepgrandchildren, Johnny and Justin Farrow.
She was preceded in death by two infant sisters, three other sisters and a grandson, Andrew Michael McClard in 1998.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Freddie Wegner of Perkinston, Miss., officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Missouri Veterans Home, Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson or Burfordville Baptist Church.
