Tractor-trailer overturns on Highway 74

KIT DOYLE ~ kdoyle@semissourian.com The Cape Girardeau Fire Department inspects an overturned tractor-trailer on Highway 74 near Interstate 55 Thursday morning, January 8, 2009, in Cape Girardeau. Authorities say that the tractor-trailer was carrying sawdust. Crews work to clean up debris from a tractor trailer rollover that occurred at 9 a.m. Thursday at Highway 74 and interstate 55. There were no injuries,but traffic was slowed and only one lane open on each side for about three hours, firefighters said. [Click to enlarge]

A tractor-trailer overturned this morning on Highway 74 at the interchange with Interstate 55. As of 11:30 a.m., crews were still working to get the tractor-trailer upright.

Initial reports say no one was injured in the accident.
