Perryville's Emily Hanquist looks to pass to teammate Lilly Johnson as Ste. Genevieve's Holley Fox defends during the first quarter Monday at Perryville.

Perryville rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit only to falter in the fourth quarter and lose 63-54 to Ste. Genevieve in girls basketball Monday.

The Pirates outscored the Dragons 19-7 in the third quarter to make it a one-point game heading into last frame before being outscored 15-7.

"We just sent them to the free-throw line way too many times," Pirates coach Vicki Lohmann said. "We got outrebounded. ... The little parts of basketball, the basics, we just didn't go forth and do that. We're just going to try and get a little better."

Perryville racked up 22 fouls, while Ste. Genevieve went 23 for 32 from the free-throw line.

Emily Hanquist netted 16 points, Alicia Kueker added 12 and Ava Johnson tallied 12 for the Pirates.
