FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Lillian Eleanor Ward, 93, of Fredericktown died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
She was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Fredericktown, daughter of Charles Henry Stanley and Ricka Albertina Ottander Lamb. She and Melbourne Russell Ward were married June 24, 1937, in Fredericktown. He died Sept. 9, 1979.
Ward was a member of Fredericktown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Lee Ward and wife Janet of Fredericktown; a daughter, Carolyn Theresa Kegley and husband Perry of Fredericktown; four grandchildren, Kathy Kegley (Chuck) Moore, Julie Ward (Dereck) Buford, Rhonda Ward (David) White, all of Fredericktown, Janell Ward (Travis) Rehkop of Farmington, Mo.; and four great-grandchildren, Dawson and Carson Buford and Josiah and Nathanael White.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral was held Wednesday at Fredericktown United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Rick Lasley and Robert W. Graham officiating. Burial was in Christian Cemetery at Fredericktown.
Pallbearers were Chuck Moore, Dereck Buford, David White, Travis Rehkop, Ronald Ward and Perry Kegley.
Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church.
