FESTUS, Mo. -- James H. Patmore, 71, of Festus died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, entering the Kingdom of Heaven where he knew his faith would eventually take him.
He was born April 24, 1937, at Dexter, Mo., son of the late Robert H. and Elselene McCracken Patmore. He and Rosemary Harville Patmore of Festus were married.
Patmore was a retired principal of St. Pius X High School. He was a member of the Church of Our Lady in Festus, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society at the Church of Our Lady. He served in the Army.
Patmore was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Harville) Patmore and father of Yvette Fobian and her husband, Jim, of Wildwood, Mo., son Mark Shaw and his wife, Michelle, of Blanchard, Okla.; brother of Julia Wikoff of Springfield, Mo., Jeanne and husband, John Hirsch, of Cape Girardeau; grandfather of Kayla and Nate Fobian, Carson and Sierra Shaw; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by JoEllen (surviving husband, Jacques) Bourgeacq of Iowa and nephew, Christian Bourgeacq.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
Funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Our Lady, Festus.
Interment will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with Fr. John Kerber, pastor of Church of Our Lady, officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in the form of Mass offerings or memorial gifts to the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation in his memory, in honor of his grandson, Nate.
