Schlichting - McQuay

Sarah Lynn Schlichting and Ryan Scott McQuay were married July 5, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo. The Rev. Keith Weise performed the ceremony. Organist was Tyson Wunderlich and soloist was Tammy Palisch.
Parents of the couple are Roger and Chris Schlichting of Frohna, Mo., and Scott and Brenda McQuay of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Renee Schaupert, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer McQuay, sister-in-law of the groom; Amy Daller; Hannah Steffens, cousin of the bride; and Olivia Palisch.
Christopher McQuay, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Nick Tuschhoff; Brian Schlichting, brother of the bride; Tim Schaupert, brother-in-law of the bride; and Matt Richter, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Kevin Goetz, cousin of the bride, and Fred Schaefer, brother-in-law of the groom.
Candlelighters were Sami Berberich and Krista Miesner.
Flower girl was Paige Seibel, cousin of the bride. Ringbearers were Brandon and Logan Schaupert, nephews of the bride.
Erica Schaefer, sister of the groom, attended the guest book. Kirstin Schlichting, cousin of the bride, handed out programs.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 4 at the church parish hall.
Mrs. McQuay received a bachelor of science degree in child development from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed with Missouri First Steps.
The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed at Schnucks.
After a wedding trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania, the couple is residing in Jackson.
