Volunteer fire department holds annual dinner

The 25th annual Perkins Volunteer Fire Department all-you-can-eat dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu includes Boston butt and smoked chicken. A 30-30 gun will be given away.

American Queen stops in Cape Girardeau

The American Queen, is scheduled to stop in Cape Girardeau. The boat will be docked from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverfront Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Spectators will not be allowed to board the vessel but will be able to observe the paddle wheel and the working smoke stacks. Christ Lutheran Church has whole-hog pork sausage dinner

Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville is holding a whole-hog pork sausage dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the new Parish Hall.
