Hayden Pogue

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- M. Hayden Pogue, 80, of Fredericktown died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 25, 1928, in Madison County, Mo., son of Claude and Ethel Lashley Pogue. He and Opal Wagganer were married Sept. 20, 1945, in Madison County.

Pogue was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lonnie Pogue of Maryland Heights, Mo., Tim Pogue of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Brenda Pogue of Fredericktown; a brother, Billy Pogue of Fredericktown; two sisters, Bonnie Tesreau of Fredericktown, Glenda Stroup of Tuolumne, Calif.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, with Lindell Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
