MR. & MRS. HEMMAN

BRAZEAU, Mo. — Mr. and Mrs. Alvert Hemman of Brazeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner Aug. 30, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo.

Hemman and Dorothy Schmidt were married Sept. 6, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, by the late Rev. A.O. Kaltwasser.

The couple has three children, Douglas (Bonnie) Hemman of Brazeau, Corey (Lisa) Hemman of Altenburg, and Jill (Douglas) Romig of Knoxville, Tenn. They have seven grandchildren, Garrett, Lacey, Jordan, Elizabeth and Hilary Hemman, and Seth and Elijah Romig.

The Hemmans own and operate Hemman Winery in Brazeau with their sons.
