He was born Feb. 1, 1926, at Vanduser, Mo., son of Fred and Eunice Mable Brumly DeHart Sr.
DeHart was a retired construction worker and self-employed horse trainer. He was a former member of Ste. Genevieve Saddle Club. He moved to Oran from Bloomsdale, Mo.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Tom DeHart of St. Louis; two daughters, Joan Loos of Lebanon, Ill., Sandy Eggemeyer of Ava, Ill.; a granddaughter, Marissa DeHart of St. Louis; a brother, Pat DeHart of Imperial, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Fenton of Sikeston, Mo., and Donnia Chapman of Pinckneyville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and eight sisters.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery with full military rites to be conducted.
