ND's Reinagel hurls her seventh no-hitter in district semifinals

Notre Dame junior Lauren Reinagel never gave Herculaneum a chance Friday.

Reinagel pitched her seventh no-hitter of the season as the Bulldogs downed the Blackcats 10-0 in five innings in their Class 3 District 2 softball semifinal at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame improved to 24-0, and will face Kennett in the district title game today at 3:30 p.m.

Alyssa Ruopp contributed seven aces and nine digs for the Bulldogs (16-4).

Meghan Dohogne finished with 11 kills, while Shannon Brennan added 12 assists for the victors.

Courtney Brune and Chelsea Kight each had four kills for the Panthers (13-9-1). Ashley Doublin recorded 14 assists in the win Thursday.

The Indians improved to 8-9 with the road win.

Law Duncan paced Jackson with a goal and two assists.

Justin Darnell made seven saves in goal for the shutout.

Eagle Ridge 9, Westwood 0

The Eagles scored three goals in the first half, and never looked back.

Mary-Kate Galemmo had two goals and an assists for Eagle Ridge (7-2-1).

Josh Carbaugh and Abby Cohen each had a goal and an assist.

FOOTBALL St. Vincent 42, Grandview 6

The Indians improved to 4-3 heading into their district opener next week.

Hayti 42, Scott City 12

The Rams dropped to 2-4 with the loss at home.
