BENTON, Mo. — Saundra Kay Blankenship, 44, of Benton died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at her home.

She was born July 30, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Gary Jerriett and Carolyn Jean Young Wright. She and Ricky Keith Blankenship were married Aug. 19, 1985, at Commerce, Mo.

Blankenship was employed by the American Red Cross. She was a member of Christian Mission.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Scott City; a daughter, Beth Marshall of Gordonville; two brothers, Alan and Cleo Wright of Commerce; a sister, Vicki Carroll of Scott City; and a stepgrandson.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
