Juanita Joyce

ORAN, Mo. — Juanita Joyce, 85, of Oran died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 25, 1922, at Randles, daughter of Floyd Dee and Beulah Spain Blue. She and J.C. Joyce were married Nov. 1, 1941. He preceded her in death June 15, 1986.

Joyce retired as a machine operator from Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee, Mo. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Buster) Bollinger of Oran, Janet (John) Glenn of Charlottesville, Va.; two brothers, Floyd Blue of Chaffee, Jim Blue of Randles; two sisters, Loletta White of Chaffee, Opal Vessels of Randles; four grandchildren, Troy (LaDonna) Bollinger of Dexter, Mo., Judi (Jim) Henson of Oran, Gwendolyn (Todd) Ogle of Blacksburg, Va., Shawn Menz and fiancee Cathy Magis of Pickerington, Ohio; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
