Sikeston woman killed in car accident

A Sikeston woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Shirley A. Amos, 73, was driving northbound on Interstate 55 one mile south of Scott City when her vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Amos was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
