Eula Wheaton

COBDEN, Ill. -- Eula V. Wheaton, 85, of Cobden, formerly of Mill Creek, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the home of a niece.

Wheaton was born July 1, 1923, daughter of Sherman and Lillie Smith Dodson. She and Lester "Peck" Wheaton were married July 1, 1939, in Jackson. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Benson; and a niece with whom she made her home, Jo Baker of Cobden.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with David Eidson officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
