CAIRO, Ill. — Samantha Collins announces the engagement of her mother, Julie Ramsey of Cairo, to Chris Freeman of Carrollton, Mo. Ramsey is the daughter of Howard and Karen Ramsey of Paris, Mo. Freeman is the son of Phil and Marilyn Freeman of Marble Hill, Mo.

Ramsey is a graduate of Moberly Area Community College. She is employed in the accounting department at Leaf Financial Inc. in Moberly, Mo.

Freeman is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a wildlife management biologist with Missouri Department of Conservation.

An Oct. 11 wedding is planned at the Ramsey home in Paris.
