MR. & MRS. POPE

ORAN, Mo. — Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pope of Oran recently observed their 55th wedding anniversary with a family celebration at the home of their daughter.

Pope and Viva Jean Eakin were married Aug. 28, 1953, at Garden Ridge General Baptist Church near Bell City. Their attendants were Tyree and Frances Eakin Brown.

The couple has two children, Kimberly (Allen) Fitts of Dexter, and Marty (Carla) Pope of Cape Girardeau. They have five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jordan and Daniel Fitts, and Abigail and Adam Pope.
