Cape Girardeau Public Works Department announces storm debris pick-up, disposal plan

The City of Cape Girardeau Public Works Department announced today its plan for the collection of damaged trees and limbs caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ike that moved through the area on Sunday. All storm-damaged tree and limb debris should be placed at residents' curbs for collection by the city's public works department. These collections will be made from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until Sept. 26.
