Weinrich team wins scramble

The team of Carol Weinrich, Sissy Donahue and Kathy Raines won A flight at the March of Dimes women's scramble at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The team of Nancy Johns, Carolyn Torbet, Susie Ruppert and Olivia Hunter was second, while the team of Christy Benton, Julie L'Hote, Donna Wheeler and Jane Trapp was third.

In B flight, the team of Pam Spradling, Flo Johnson, Robin Davis and Betty Dewitt won. The team of Cammie Seabaugh, Jennifer Smith, Amanda Starks and Carol Lucy was second, while the team of Cathy Kight, Sandy Ness, Patti Garrison and Mona Williams finished third.

Gage records hole in one

Ross Gage used an 8-iron to score a hole in one on hole No. 13 at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The hole was playing 140 yards.

Local gymnasts win state title

The Level 7 gymnastics team from Shooting Starz Unlimited gym in Perryville won the team competition at the Missouri state championships.
