Fark named principal at Trinity Lutheran

Terry Fark is the new principal at Trinity Lutheran School in Cape Girardeau. Fark has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and administration. He was most recently principal at Immanuel Lutheran School in Murphysboro, Ill.

Dobbins selected for special instituteSoutheast Missouri State University president Ken Dobbins was invited to participate this summer in the President's Institute on Trusteeship. Dobbins was one of 30 college and university presidents that were invited to Aspen, Colo., to participate in this new initiative of the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges. The goal is for the group to assess the current state of trusteeship and governance at participating institutions and to craft specific plans for board education and development.

Real estate agent attends economic summit

Thomas M. Meyer of Thomas L. Meyer Realty Co. of Cape Girardeau recently attended the first Missouri Economic Development Summit held in Jefferson City. The summit featured a number of Missouri business leaders.
