McCain to stump in Missouri on way to convention

Monday, August 25, 2008

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Republican John McCain will bring his presidential campaign to suburban St. Louis on Sunday as he travels to key states ahead of next week's Republican National Convention.

The Arizona senator will hold a rally in O'Fallon at the T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

McCain's appearance will come just five days after Democrat Barack Obama campaigns in Kansas City on his way to the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Joining McCain and his wife, Cindy, will be country music star John Rich, of the Nashville duo Big and Rich, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
