Southeast names two new development officers

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Dr. Sam Duncan and Angie Wilson have been named development officers at Southeast Missouri State University. Duncan, of Jackson, was formerly the director of state and federal programs in the Jackson School District. Wilson, of Kelso, Mo., was formerly community relations manager with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Dr. Ron Anderson, superintendent of the Jackson School District, said Duncan's former duties will be divided among existing staff. A replacement search will most likely not begin until next year, he said, because top administrators already have positions set for the upcoming school year.

Development officers work in the office of Umiversty Advancement and are responsible for soliciting donors and establishing relationships with alumni.
