Burkstaller - 50 years

CAIRO, Ill. -- Mr. and Mrs. David F. Burkstaller of Venice, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 21, 2008.

The couple renewed their vows at Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church in Venice. A dinner for family and friends was hosted by their children at the Venice Golf and Country Club.

Burkstaller and Janet R. Profilet were married June 21, 1958, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cairo.

He is the son of Fred and Sylvia Burkstaller, formerly of Wyatt, Mo. Mrs. Burkstaller is the daughter of Curtis and Margarite Profilet, formerly of Cairo.

Burkstaller retired in 1987 from Frank B. Hall Consulting Co. of New York, N.Y. She retired in 2002 from Brown and Brown Insurance Co. of Tampa, Fla.

The couple has four children, David Burkstaller of Crested Butte, Colo., Curtis Burkstaller of Sarasota, Fla., Susan Nicol of North Port, Fla., and Cynthia Haskell of Englewood, Fla. They have five grandchildren, Andrew, Julia, Luke, Shannon and Matthew.
