Illinois police release name of man who died in bridge crash

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Illinois State Police on Monday released the name of the driver who died in a fiery crash on Illinois Highway 146 just east the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge.

John F. Harris, 22, of Cairo, Ill., was driving the Chevrolet Blazer that crossed the center line on the highway on June 30, struck a tractor-trailer and a minivan and burst into flames, dispatcher Christine Garner said.

Harris was trapped in the mangled remains of his car as it caught fire. Along with the tractor-trailer, the minivan and the Blazer, a fourth vehicle was damaged as it ran over debris. Harris was traveling east when the wreck occurred.

How was that a "bridge crash"? I saw where it happened, and the bridge had nothing to do with it.

LOL. Not that there's anything remotley funny about the situation. But I agree that's probably what happened and they can't say it.

Had nothing to do with the "nudie bar"....

shame on you folks....

it's not nice to infer things like that when you don't know the situation.

Anyone's family can read the online newspaper..

I don't know how you guys think "nudie bar crash" is even remotely funny. You must be entertained quite easily.
