MaKenya K. Ray and K. Eric Owens were married Sept. 8, 2007, at Bethel Assembly of God Church. The Rev. J.L. Nabors of Sikeston, Mo., performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Herman and Fannie Ray of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Barbara Owens of Dexter, Mo., and Farrell and Shelly Owens of Strasburg, Va.

Matron of honor was Mayakka Rowe of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were MeKisha Owens of Jackson, sister-in-law of the groom; Meredith Tally of Cape Girardeau; Gayle Heeb of Morley, Mo.; and Monica Pruitt of Washington, Mo., cousin of the groom.

Steve Yenicek of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Owens of Jackson, brother of the groom; Farrell Owens; Robert White of Washington, cousin of the groom; and DeMardrae Rowe of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were John Morgan of Cape Girardeau and Richard Gross of Gordonville.

Candlelighters were mothers of the bride and groom.

Flower girl was Alison Shepherd, daughter of Michelle Shepherd of Jackson. Ringbearers were Jayzon Ray, son of Mayakka Rowe and Rusty Fish and nephew of the bride; Devin Rowe, son of DeMardrae and Mayakka Rowe and nephew of the bride; and Davon Snider, son of Andy and MeKisha Owens and nephew of the groom.

Jessica Robinson of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at Dockside The Upper Deck. Servers were Erica Thomas of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride; Sheila Gross of Gordonville, and Christi Jackson of Cape Girardeau.

The bride's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 7 at Ryan's Family Steak House.

Mrs. Owens is a 1997 graduate of Central High School, and 1998 graduate of Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center. She is a trainer at National Assets Recovery Service.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Union High School. He is an over-the-road truck driver with Owens Transportation/Atlas Van Lines.

After a wedding trip to St. Louis, the couple resides in Jackson.
