New rules for a new Congress

To the editor:

We need to fire the entire Congress and start over. Our representatives have failed us (the working, barely-making-it middle class). Fire the liberals and conservatives in this country for getting paid too much and doing nothing. The new candidates should be required not to have a law degree. The new candidates should be required to serve in a branch of the U.S. armed forces for at least four years. Our new candidates, if they want to run for president, should each get $50,000 for campaign expenses. Each senator, representative, president, vice president or any elected official should have one year to fulfill at least 70 percent of promises made during his or her campaign. Seventy percent is average. That's not asking too much.
