Museum starts biweekly programs
The Cape River Heritage Museum has longer hours and more programs this year with the start of biweekly presentations in the old fire station that houses Cape Girardeau history. The programs start Saturday with Laura Mosley Snider reading from her late grandmother's work, "Little Mockers Great Adventure." The museum currently hosts an exhibit honoring the late local author and former Southeast Missourian columnist Jean Bell Mosley. One of the two programs a month will be a reading from one of her many works. The other presentation will feature Chief White Eagle and various American Indian stories like "Native Domestic Life" and an explanation of "Native Celebrations." The programs are at 10 a.m. every other Saturday through September.
