Athletics

* Central physicals: Students who wish to participate on a sports team in the fall can get their required physical today from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Central Junior High. Cost: $20.

* Fellowship of Christian Athletes luncheon: The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a luncheon July 1 to explain more about the organization and discuss the potential for ministry in the area. Basketball

* Southeast Missouri State boys camps: The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball program will host camps conducted by Southeast coach Scott Edgar, his assistants, current and former Redhawks players and guest coaches. A skills camp for grades 1 through 12 will be June 23 through 25. Cost: $120, with lunch provided daily. A team camp for seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade teams will be June 27 through 29. Cost: $195, with dorm and meals included. There is a team rate (12 players maximum) of $600, with teams providing their own room and board. A team camp for high school varsity and junior varsity teams will be July 27 through 29. Cost: $195, with dorm and meals included. * Southeast Missouri State girls camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball program will host camps conducted by Southeast coach John Ishee, his assistants, Redhawks players, and other coaches and players from the region. A team camp for high school varsity, high school junior varsity, junior high school and club teams will be Friday and Saturday. Cost: $175, with dorm and meals included. There is a team rate of $300 (12 players maximum), with teams providing their own room and board. An elite camp for grades 8 through 12 will be June 20 through 22. * Skills camps: Jackson will hold skills camps for players between the ages 5 to 14. The first camp, which focuses on developing skills in dribbling, passing and shooting, will take place June 24 to June 27. It will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 5 to 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. for ages 8 to 10 and from 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 11 to 14. The second skills camp will run from July 28 to July 31. It will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m. for ages 5 to 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for ages 8 to 10 and from 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 11 to 14. * Saxony Lutheran camps: Saxony Lutheran will host an instructional camp for girls entering grades 4 through 8 from Monday to June 19. It will run from 1 to 3 p.m. A post/guard position camp for girls entering grades 5 through 8 will be held June 30 to July 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. A shooting/offensive fundamental camp for girls entering grades 5 through 8 will be held July 21 to 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. Cost: $30 for each camp, which includes a T-shirt and basketball. * Notre Dame boys camps: Notre Dame Regional High School will host camps for boys in grades kindergarten through 8. The camps stress the fundamentals of the game. Varsity coach Kevin Roberts will run the camps. There is a camp for grades kindergarten and 1 from Monday to June 20 and runs from 8 to 9 a.m. daily. Cost: $40. Cheerleading

* Cheerleading camp: The Cove Recreational Complex will host a camp from Monday to June 19 that concentrates on chants, cheers and hip-hop dance. Football

* Youth football camp: Two registration dates have been set for the Dream Team Football Camp, which will be conducted June 23 to 28 in Cape Girardeau. Sign-ups for the free five-day camp will be Saturday and June 21 from noon to 3 p.m. at Shelter No. 7 at Arena Park. The camp is for children entering grades 4 to 7, and they need to show their latest report card at registration. Camp times will be 6 to 9 p.m. from June 23 to 27, and 8 to 11 a.m. on June 28. Golf

* 18 Fore Life tournament: The inaugural Ben Kruse 18 Fore Life charity golf event will take place June 23 at Dalhousie Golf Club. The four-person scramble will feature a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start and 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. The event benefits local families who are battling cancer. * T.E.A.M. tournament: The third annual T.E.A.M. Southeast golf tournament will take place June 23 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. The tournament is the fundraiser for the Southeast Missouri State football team.

* Home Builders tournament: The SEMO Home Builders Association Classic golf tournament is scheduled for Friday at Bent Creek Golf Club. Registration and lunch will be from noon to 1 p.m., with tee off at 1 p.m. for the four-person scramble. Cost: $85. Info: Greg Nolan, 334-5433.

* Southeast Missouri State camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer program will host camps for players ages 6 to 14. They will be conducted by Southeast coach Heather Nelson, assistant coach Paul Nelson as well as current and former Redhawks players. There will be a camp from Monday to Wednesday at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from July 29 to Aug. 1 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be a camp from Aug. 4 to 6 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from Aug. 6 to 8 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $50 per camp. * Pee wee camp: Notre Dame Regional High School will host a camp for girls entering kindergarten through second grade from Monday to June 20. Tennis

* Summer camps: The Cape Area Tennis Association will hold camps for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 at the Southeast Missouri State tennis courts. The first session begins Monday. The pre tennis group, for ages 6 to 10, meets from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and costs $15. The intermediate group, for ages 10 to 14, meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and costs $20. * Pole vaulting camp: Notre Dame Regional High School will host a pole vaulting camp for boys and girls entering grades 6 through 8. Volleyball

* Southeast Missouri State camps: The Southeast Missouri State volleyball program will host several camps. They will be conducted by Southeast coach Renata Nowacki, assistant coach Jeremiah Larsen as well as current and former Redhawks players. A serving/passing clinic for ages 12 to 18 will be June 16, a setting/attacking clinic for ages 12 to 18 will be June 17, and a blocking/defense clinic for ages 12 to 18 will be June 18.
