SIKESTON, Mo. — Annie Laster Watson, 82, of Sikeston died Friday, June 6, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 2, 1925, at Wardell, Mo., daughter of Early and Hattie Griffin Laster. She and Wallace Watson were married Nov. 29, 1943.
Watson graduated from Canalou School District. She was employed by Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Hunter for 55 years.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Avery of Sikeston, Catherine McClendon of Dallas; two sons, Henry Watson of Ann Arbor, Mich., Therman Watson of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Nancy Artis of Chicago, Quarie Daniels of Pontiac, Mich.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, seven brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Chester Yarber officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
