Susan Kay Hecht and Herbie Ray Gilder III were married July 10, 2004, at the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Ernest Jordan performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Denise Meystedt of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Eugene and Vera Hecht of Jackson. The groom is the son of Herbie Gilder of Victoria, Texas, and the late Brenda Wood-Gilder.
Maid of honor was Christi Jackson of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Sonya Henson-Bahr of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Khrystee Davidson of Cape Girardeau.
Bobby Burrows of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Larry Burrows and Nick Arnold, son of the bride, both of Jackson. Ushers were James Hecht of Jackson, brother of the bride, and Kevin Zimmerman of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Flower girl was Breanna Niedbalski, daughter of Jim and Kim Niedbalski of Jackson and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Caleb Peirick, son of Joel and Heather Peirick of Perryville, Mo.
Guest book attendant was Chelsey Borgfield, daughter of Terry and Christa Borgfield of Porter, Texas, and niece of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance was held at Heartland Banquet Hall in Jackson.
The rehearsal dinner was held July 9 at the banquet hall.
Mrs. Gilder is employed by SBC Communications.
The groom is owner of a body shop in Jackson.
After a wedding trip to New Orleans, La., and Galveston, Texas, the couple is residing in Jackson.
