Solid foundation

Tax funding of state colleges and universities has been decreasing for years. Twenty-five years ago, Southeast Missouri State University recognized the need for additional support. The result was the Southeast Missouri University Foundation, which has raised millions of dollars that have been used for such projects as the River Campus, Dempster Hall and the Seabaugh Polytechnic Building.

Under the leadership of Wayne Smith, vice president for university advancement and executive director, the foundation is poised to reach new levels of commitment from generous donors. Congratulations to the foundation for its achievements in the past quarter-century.
