MoDOT to work on Route PP; highways 25, 177, 72 this week

MoDOT announced several road work projects today that will have an effect on traffic in the local area.

Route PP in Cape County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction while MoDOT crews remove brush along the northbound and southbound lane.

This section of roadway is located from Highway 72 to County Road 324.

Weather permitting, the work will take place Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Highway 177 reduced for patching

Highway 177 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction while MoDOT crews patch the northbound and southbound lanes.

This section of roadway is located from Highway 61 to Bertling Street in Cape Girardeau.

Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Highway 72 reduced for patching

Highway 72 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction while MoDOT crews patch the eastbound and westbound lanes.

This section of roadway is located from Highway 34 to Route B.

Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Highway 25 in Stoddard County reduced for repairs

Highway 25 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane while MoDOT crews patch the southbound lane.

The repairs will take place one mile north of U.S. 60.

Weather permitting, the work will take place Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Rest areas at Bloomsdale, Steele, Marston closed for repairs

The southbound Marston rest area on Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be closed while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs at the facility.

The rest area will close today at noon and will reopen Friday at approximately noon.

The northbound Steele rest area on I-55 in Pemiscot County will be closed while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs at the facility. The rest area will be closed today and will reopen Friday at approximately 3 p.m.

The northbound Bloomsdale rest area in Ste. Genevieve County will be closed until further notice for emergency repairs that are being made at the facility.
