Spend the money to keep us safe

To the editor:

I have just read an article by George Gedda of The Associated Press that said President Bush and his administration are going to give Iraq $9 billion in U.S. reconstruction money to rebuild Iraq and make that country safer.

I think our president should be thinking more about his own people and their safety than some other country the way he is doing .

The American people should write or call their federal legislators to stop this and use the money for this country's safety first.
