Victim advocates not doing jobs

To the editor:

My family went through the painful time of not being told about a plea bargain. Cape Girardeau County's prosecutor attorney's office revealed the sellout to the family four days later after it is all said and done. How could a five-minute call have been so hard to find time for? At the least, the prosecutor could have offered an apology. I am told this is how it usually works unfortunately. Victim advocates are being paid in Scott and Cape Girardeau counties and are not doing their jobs. Why don't the prosecutors care to check into this?
