Mary Dell Steimle, 103, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 9, 2004, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born June 23, 1901, at Jackson, daughter of Thomas and Nellie Shepard Beasley. She and Ferdinand "Fred" Steimle were married Aug. 14, 1919. He died June 26, 1991.

At age 13 she went to work at the shoe factory, and also worked at Hirsch Store. She was a dental assistant 20 years for Dr. Del Brunton. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Doers of the Word.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Helen of Cape Girardeau, wife of Dr. Del Brunton; three grandchildren, Judith (Jim) Carter and Jill Brunton of Overland Park, Kan., Dr. Janet (Pat) Ruopp of Cape Girardeau; three great-grandchildren, Dr. Jodianne Carter of Overland Park, Brenton and Alyssa Ruopp of Cape Girardeau; and a great-great-grandson, Ethan Carter Ellis of Overland Park.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Geneva Martha Steimle; a brother, Curtis Beasley of Lima, Ohio; and a sister, Amy Nell Miller of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 10 a.m. until service time.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Jay White officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
