A day for moms: Children share what makes their mom special

They give birth. They give food. They nurture and teach. And they get a day. Mother's Day. One day above the rest that children of all ages show appreciation for all that mom does. At least one kindergarten class at Alma Schrader Elementary School made mom a flower, planted some zinneas and decorated fans. They and a few third graders offered their thoughts on what makes a mom special, what they liked to do with their mom and what Mother's Day gift they would give her.
