Scott City cooperation

The church brought the stuff. The VFW brought the snacks.

And together the two entities that share a parking lot also shared in helping fix up their buildings.

Father's Arms Fellowship, a nondenominational church, and the Scott City VFW are teaming up to help repair damage done by last month's 14-inch rainstorm.

Volunteers came together to clean up and fix up both buildings, and last weekend they joined forces to hold a yard sale to raise money for more repairs. Other church groups have chipped in as well.

Disasters tend to bring neighbors together. That seems to be the case here. Best wishes go out to both groups as they work through a very frustrating process of cleaning and fixing. Any project is easier, however, when it is done with the help of friends.
