ORAN, Mo. -- Kenneth Ryan Harris, 60, of Oran died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 22, 1944, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Ragan Pearson and Christeen Ryan Harris. He and Aletta Lett were married Nov. 11, 1972.
Harris retired as a heavy equipment operator with Scott County Highway Department in Benton, Mo. He then was a truck driver with MFA Agri Services in Chaffee, Mo.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Harris was a member of First Baptist Church and lifetime member of VFW Post 5368 at Morley, Mo., American Legion Post 369 at Benton, AmVets at Sikeston and Cape Girardeau County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 16.
Survivors include his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Jim Matthews and Chad Bles officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley with full military honors.
