Public hearings

A public hearing regarding the request of Gerard Dirnberger for a special-use permit to operate a landscaping business from his home located at 1053 N. Clark St., in an R-1, single-family residential district, and to use an existing storage shed at the same location for storage of landscaping and mowing equipment.

A public hearing regarding the request of CLILA L.P., for a special-use permit to install a sign at 612 S. Sprigg, located in a C-1 district.

A public hearing regarding the request of California Homes Inc., and Terry R. Begley, trustee of the Irvin J. Richmond Revocable Trust, to rezone 3120 Bloomfield from R-1, single-family dwelling district, to R-4, multi-family dwelling district.

A public hearing regarding the request of Southeast Missouri Stone Co. for a special-use permit to install a PAC-VAN office trailer in place of an existing tornado-damaged scale house at their business located at 1224 S. Kingshighway in an M-2, heavy industrial district.Consent Ordinances

(First reading)

An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 3034 and dissolving Lateral Sewer District No. 14-K-7, a subdivision of Trunk Sewer District No. 14.

An ordinance granting a special-use permit to Gerard Dirnberger for the purpose of maintaining and operating a landscaping business located at 1053 N. Clark St. (If the ordinance is not approved, a motion will need to be made to adopt findings and conclusions denying the application.)

An ordinance granting a special-use permit to CLILA L.P., for a special use permit to install a sign at 612 S. Sprigg, located in a C-1 district. (If the ordinance is not approved, a motion will need to be made to adopt findings and conclusions denying the application.)

An ordinance amending Schedule V of Section 26-31 of the City Code by establishing a 30-minute loading zone on Frederick Street.

An ordinance amending Schedule F of 26-247 of the City Code by establishing no parking along portions of Frederick Street.

Resolutions

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a contract with the Missouri Department of Mental Health for a 2004 Community Trust Grant.

A resolution authorizing applications to the Missouri Department of Social Services under the Emergency Shelter Grant Program, for Safe House for Women Inc., and the Salvation Army, and authorizing the city manager to execute all necessary grant documents.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute amendment No. 11 to the agreement between the city and Jacobs Civil Inc. for the sanitary sewer improvement program.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a license and indemnity agreement with the Cape Girardeau School District No. 63 for non conforming pavement markings on Silver Springs Road.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a consulting agreement with EPIC Systems Inc. for one additional wastewater pump state site.

A resolution authorizing application to the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program and authorizing the city manager to execute all necessary grant documents.

Liqour Licenses

Conditional approval of a 5-percent beer by the drink liquour license for Michael Brandt, doing business as the Landing Place at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport, Michael Brandt, managing officer.

Approval of a temporary liqour license for the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri for an event to be held April 24 at the A.C. Brase Arena Building.

Other

A motion accepting into the city's system the street, storm and sanitary sewer, detention basin and water improvements, as shown on the plans approved for Silverthorne Subdivision and authorizing the release of the escrow agreement covering these improvements.

A motion accepting the improvements to the Mississippi River Walk, Phase I, and authorizing final payment to Nip Kelly Equipment Co.
