Two people were injured in accidents Saturday in Southeast Missouri.
Jerald Eigenbrod Jr., 44, of Cape Girardeau was driving a motorcycle at 10:50 a.m. on Hillvale Street, two miles west of Cape Girardeau, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Eigenbrod's vehicle crossed into the path of another vehicle driven by Margaret Smith, 25, of Cape Girardeau and was struck. The patrol said the motorcyclist should have had a stop sign but the sign was not in place. Smith wasn't injured.
Sarah Westmoreland, 19, of Morehouse, Mo., was injured in an one-car accident at 2 p.m. on County Road 440, two miles southwest of Morley in Scott County, the patrol said. She was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
The car lost control in loose dirt, traveled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and overturned.
