Poplar Bluff man sentenced for child porn

Eric A. Hartley, 29, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., was sentenced Thursday in federal court to 33 months in prison for transporting child pornography. He appeared before U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey in Cape Girardeau. On March 3, a detective from the Keene, N.H., Police Department, used the Internet to pose as a 14-year-old boy and met Hartley in a chat room. During the conversation, Hartley engaged in sexually explicit conversation, solicited, promoted and published known child pornography over the Internet to the detective. A search warrant served at Hartley's home March 14 turned up a computer and several disks containing the photos he transmitted and other child pornographic images and videos.
