Crowden - Knowlan

Courtney Rae Crowden and Stuart Ellis Knowlan were married Aug. 11, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Jackson. T.J. Humphrey performed the ceremony. Pianist was Christy Shinn of Jackson, guitarists were Sam Gregg of Jackson and Eric Peterson of Wentzville, Mo. Peterson was also soloist.

Parents of the couple are Chuck and Kim Crowden and Jack and Bonnie Knowlan, all of Jackson.

Maid of honor was Ashley Illers of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Jessica Edwards of Jackson, Piper Casteel of Russellville, Mo., Samantha Stout of Sullivan, Mo., Erika Russell, sister of the groom, and Nicole Kimbel, both of Jackson.

Mitchell Casteel of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Spencer and Garrett Knowlan, brothers of the groom; Tyler Dumey, Jon Gould and Travis Niswonger, all of Jackson. Ushers were Zach Garrison of Jackson and Taylor Wiegert of Plainview, Neb.

Flower girl was Kate Peterson, daughter of Eric and Jennifer Peterson and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Tyler Battiste, son of Denise Battiste of St. Louis.

Program attendants were Anna Estes and Taylor Parks, cousins of the bride. Anna is the daughter of Darren and Gail Estes and Taylor is the daughter of Bryant and Amy Parks, all of Jackson.

The reception was held at the Eagles Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Servers were Amy Parks and Gail Estes, aunts of the bride.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 10 at Jackson Pool.

Mrs. Knowlan is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor's degree in vocal music education from Webster University in 2007. She is employed by a nanny agency and is a substitute teacher in the St. Louis school districts.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of journalism in advertising from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007. He is employed at Fastenal in St. Louis.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple resides in St. Louis.
