ANNA, Ill. -- Dorothy "Dot" Easton, 75, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
She was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Union County, Ill., daughter of George and Clara Rebecca Kenney Livesay. She married Ira Virgil Easton, who preceded her in death.
She had worked as a cook on a riverboat.
Survivors include a son, Virgil "Sonny" Easton of Jackson; six sisters, Bonnie Penrod of Cobden, Ill., Pat Ferguson of Dongola, Ill., Nancy Hobbs of Jackson, Linda Brown and Kay Carver of McClure, Ill., Shirley Gaines of Wappapello, Mo.; two brothers, Wayne Livesay of Ware, Ill., Bob Livesay of Wolf Lake, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
Graveside service will be held immediately following visitation at Big Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating.
